What the £56 covers
It covers the repair, diagnosis, labour, parts and testing on the Airwrap Co-anda2x, Airwrap i.d. and Airwrap Origin. It also covers getting the machine to us and back to you. We collect from you and return to you anywhere in the UK, and you get updates while it is with us. Every repair carries a 90-day guarantee, and if the same fault happens again within the guarantee window, it comes back to us.
Faults we would not charge you for
This is the part most repairers leave out. If your Airwrap is cutting out mid-style, the most likely cause by some distance is a blocked filter. This is a free fix, and it takes about ten minutes. Follow Dyson’s own cleaning procedure before you book anything with anyone. If an attachment keeps falling off, try an alternative on the same machine before you assume the machine is at fault. Attachments wear. Machines usually don’t.
If it has no power at all, change the plug fuse and try a different socket first. Those two checks resolve a fair share of dead appliances and cost pennies. We would rather you tried those and kept your money than sent us a machine that was never broken.
Repair against replacement
The honest comparison, without the sales pitch. A new Airwrap is a significant purchase, and the current generation costs several times as much as an out-of-warranty repair does. Prices change, so check the current figure at Dyson or a UK retailer rather than taking a number from an article. The gap is wide enough that the arithmetic rarely surprises anyone.
Dyson also sells refurbished machines, which sit between the two on price. Worth knowing about if a repair is genuinely not viable.

When we would tell you not to bother
There is a point where repairing stops making sense, and we will say so rather than take the job. An old machine that already has had several faults and needs work, costing the same as a replacement, is not a good repair. Neither is one with damage severe enough that we cannot guarantee the result. Everything short of that is usually worth doing. A repaired Airwrap works, costs a fraction of a new one, and is one less appliance in landfill.
Check your guarantee first
Before you pay anyone, check whether Dyson still covers you. Dyson’s guarantee runs two years from the date of purchase on parts and labour, as set out in their own manuals, and it covers faults caused by materials or workmanship.

Because the alternative leaves you with less control. With a quote-on-inspection model, you send your machine away without knowing the repair cost. By the time you receive the quote, the machine is already out of your hands, making it harder to say no.
We prefer to agree the price upfront, so you know what you’re paying before you send it.
